SMHI warns high flows could flood eastern Norrbotten roads
SMHI has issued a yellow warning for high flows in eastern Norrbotten, saying weekend rain could flood roads, buildings and underpasses between Piteå and Kalix and inland towards Boden.

The warning starts at 00:00 on Monday and runs until 00:00 on Thursday. Streams and smaller rivers are expected to rise early in the week, and SMHI says fast-moving water can be dangerous nearby.
People in exposed or low-lying areas are told not to drive through standing water, to protect property and to clear storm drains and other channels so water can drain away.
SMHI says the warning area may expand because there is still uncertainty over where the heaviest rainfall will fall.
