Accuracy and context
We aim to publish information that is accurate, fairly presented and supported by identifiable evidence. We distinguish confirmed facts from allegations, estimates and analysis, and we add the context an international reader needs to understand Swedish institutions and decisions.
Sources and attribution
We prefer primary documents, official data, direct interviews and on-the-record sources. When reporting relies on another publication or specialist source, we attribute it. Anonymous sourcing should be exceptional and used only when the information serves a clear public interest and cannot reasonably be obtained on the record.
Corrections and updates
Substantive errors should be corrected promptly and transparently. Developing stories may be updated as new verified information becomes available. News, analysis and opinion
News reporting, analysis and opinion serve different purposes and should be labelled so readers can tell them apart. Opinion writers may argue a position, but factual claims in opinion work remain subject to our accuracy and correction standards.
Independence and commercial material
Advertisers, sponsors and service providers do not control DailySweden's editorial conclusions. Paid or sponsored material must be clearly identified. Editorial coverage is not offered in exchange for advertising, payment, gifts or favourable access.
Technology and human responsibility
Technology may assist research, transcription, translation or production, but it does not remove editorial responsibility. Material must be reviewed for accuracy, provenance, fairness, privacy and copyright before publication. Fabricated quotations, sources, images or evidence are not acceptable.
