1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using DailySweden, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Additional terms displayed when you purchase or activate a particular product also form part of your agreement for that product.
2. What DailySweden provides
DailySweden publishes journalism, commentary and practical information about Sweden. Content is provided for general information and does not replace legal, immigration, tax, financial, medical or other professional advice. Rules and circumstances change, so verify important decisions with the relevant authority or a qualified professional.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information, protect your login details and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. We may require verification, limit access or suspend an account to protect the service, comply with law or address a breach of these terms.
4. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use DailySweden unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm another person;
- attempt to bypass access controls, probe security or interfere with the service;
- use automated systems to scrape, republish or train on substantial parts of the service without written permission, except where applicable law does not permit that restriction;
- submit malicious code, spam, harassment, unlawful material or content that infringes another person's rights; or
- misrepresent an affiliation with DailySweden or use our branding in a misleading way.
5. Editorial content and corrections
Editorial decisions remain with DailySweden. We may edit, update, correct, label, archive or remove content in accordance with our editorial responsibilities. If you believe an article contains a factual error or raises a legal or privacy concern, use the report option on the article or email editorial@dailysweden.com.
6. Intellectual property
DailySweden and its licensors retain rights in the site, branding, design and original content. You may access articles for personal, non-commercial use and may share ordinary links with appropriate attribution. Unless permitted by law or agreed in writing, you may not reproduce, sell, syndicate, remove attribution from or create a competing database from substantial DailySweden content.
7. Material you submit
You retain ownership of material you submit. You confirm that you have the right to provide it and grant DailySweden a non-exclusive right to review, store, edit and use it to respond to you or for the purpose for which it was submitted. We will discuss additional permissions before publishing reader-supplied material as editorial content, unless publication is already clearly authorised by the submission process.
8. Subscriptions and payments
If DailySweden offers paid services, the price, billing period, renewal terms, cancellation method and any statutory withdrawal rights will be shown before purchase. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights under Swedish or EU law.
9. Third-party services
Articles and features may link to authorities, sources, social networks or other third parties. DailySweden does not control their services and is not responsible for their availability, content or data practices. Their own terms apply when you use them.
10. Availability and liability
We aim to provide a reliable and accurate service but do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every item will always be complete or current. To the extent permitted by law, DailySweden is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. We do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
11. Changes and termination
We may change the service or these terms for operational, editorial, security or legal reasons. Material changes will be identified by an updated revision date and, where required, additional notice. You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should continue will survive termination.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Swedish law, without limiting any mandatory rights or forum available to a consumer under applicable law. Questions may be sent to editorial@dailysweden.com.
