SMHI extends high forest-fire risk through Wednesday
SMHI has extended its forest-fire risk alert across parts of eight counties from midnight on Sunday until 23:00 on Wednesday.

The warning covers parts of Östergötland, Södermanland, Örebro, Västmanland, Stockholm, Uppsala, Gävleborg and Kalmar. Compared with Saturday's one-day warning, Gävleborg is added while Blekinge, Kronoberg and Jönköping drop out.
SMHI says forests and ground remain dry, with high to locally extremely high fire risk. Campfires, sparks from machinery and lightning can start fires that spread easily.
Fires in power-line corridors may disrupt electricity and telecom networks. SMHI advises residents to check for local fire bans and use great care with flames, sparks and heavy machinery. Rain or showers may reduce the risk in some places.
