Swedish house prices rose 2% in the second quarter

Prices for permanent small houses in Sweden rose by almost 2% in the second quarter of 2026 from the previous three months, according to preliminary official figures.

The national average price was SEK 4 million, Statistics Sweden says. Average prices reached SEK 5.3 million in Greater Malmö and SEK 7 million in Greater Stockholm. Prices were also up almost 2% from the same quarter last year.

Holiday-home prices increased 5% from the first quarter, to an average SEK 2.6 million. Agricultural property prices rose 1% to SEK 3.7 million, while commercial rental-property prices fell 3%.

Statistics Sweden records transactions by the date on the deed, when the buyer becomes the formal owner. The agency’s next property-price release is scheduled for 10 September.
