Social Democrats plunge 4.3 points as poll lead crumbles
The Social Democrats have fallen to 25.8% in Novus’s September poll, shrinking the opposition’s lead over the Tidö parties to just 2.6 points ahead of election day.

The survey was conducted from 24 to 30 August among 2,984 eligible voters. S is down from 30.1% in August, and Novus says the 4.3-point fall is statistically significant, with a margin of error of 1.7 points.
Novus found S losing voters to every other parliamentary party, most heavily to the Centre Party, followed by the Sweden Democrats, Moderates, Liberals, Green Party, Left Party and Christian Democrats. It gained only a small share from people who previously did not intend to vote.
The opposition bloc still leads by 50.3% to 47.7%, but its advantage has narrowed from 6.9 points to 2.6. The Liberals rose significantly to 3.3%, still below the four-percent parliamentary threshold, while C climbed to 8.3%.
Novus stresses that the poll is a snapshot of voter opinion, not an election forecast. The survey lists 1.4% of respondents as undecided.
