SAS Link strike averted as cabin crew prepare to vote on deal

A threatened strike by 24 SAS Link cabin crew has been averted after overnight mediation produced a proposed agreement. Staff will vote on the deal, with a deadline of noon on 23 October.
Norway’s state mediator says the employer accepted the proposal, while the employee side will put it to a ballot without recommending how members should vote. TV4 reports that the talks ran three hours beyond their deadline into Sunday morning.
The dispute concerns pay and working conditions at the SAS subsidiary. Before mediation, Fellesforbundet said it wanted more of any pay increase added to fixed basic salary, rather than variable allowances, and closer alignment with cabin-crew terms at the parent airline.
SAS Link operates Embraer E195 regional aircraft, with bases including Stockholm Arlanda. SAS lists Stockholm–Copenhagen among its typical routes. The union had warned that a strike could affect travel across Scandinavia.
The ballot means the settlement still needs employees’ approval. The announcement concerns this labour dispute; it does not confirm the status of individual flights.
