This estimate covers rental income from a private house or freehold flat. It does not cover a bostadsrätt, rental apartment, hotel-like letting, business income, VAT or other income from the property. Your final tax may be different. This is general information and does not replace tax or legal advice.

Who this estimator is for

Use this estimator for a private house, holiday home or freehold flat. The estimate uses the maximum SEK 40,000 standard allowance, the 20-percent rental-income deduction and 30-percent tax on a positive surplus.

Different deductions apply to a bostadsrätt and a rental apartment. Platform contracts, other income from the same property and hotel-like letting can also change the result. Check the official Skatteverket rules before filing.
