Strong winds could disrupt travel in Gävleborg and Uppsala tonight

Strong northerly winds could bring down trees and disrupt travel in parts of southern Gävleborg and northern Uppsala County tonight. SMHI’s yellow warning runs from 21:00 on Thursday 8 October until noon on Friday.
The weather agency expects gusts of 18–22 metres per second, reaching around 25 near the coast. The strongest winds are expected overnight and on Friday morning before easing.
SMHI advises securing loose outdoor objects, including garden furniture and trampolines. Fallen branches or trees could block roads, while public transport may face delays or cancellations.
Power and telephone services carried on overhead lines could also be disrupted.
