Three funded overseas residencies open to Sweden-based artists
Visual and applied artists working in Sweden have until 9 September at 14:00 CEST to apply for three IASPIS residencies abroad, with a studio or workspace, housing and a stipend for travel and living costs.

The Swedish Arts Grants Committee says the openings are at Cove Park in Scotland, 1Shanthiroad in Bangalore and the Swedish Institute guest accommodation in Paris. Cove Park is for professional applied artists working with ecology, agriculture, food production, rural life or community organising. The Bangalore and Paris placements are open to professional visual and applied artists.
Applicants must be based in Sweden or conduct most of their artistic practice here. They must work professionally, meaning they support themselves at least partly through their art and regularly present it to an audience or artistic context. Anyone studying more than 50 per cent when the decision is made is not eligible.
Applications need five to ten recent work samples. The Cove Park details show what the practical offer can include: a one-month stay from 17 May to 17 June 2027 and a SEK 30,000 tax-free stipend. The other placements have their own dates and terms on the agency’s application pages.
