Searching for an English-language job in Sweden is easier when you stop treating the country as one market. Vacancies cluster around particular industries, and the strongest city depends on the work you do. A software developer, electrical engineer and specialist doctor should not begin with the same list of places.

DailySweden's review of 38,935 live vacancies from Arbetsförmedlingen's job-ad data and JobStream guide on 9 August found 2,181 English-language openings. Stockholm had the largest number, with 617, followed by Gothenburg with 316 and Malmö with
