Record 145,000-plus vote on Sweden's first early-voting day
More than 145,000 people voted on Sweden's first day of domestic early voting, a record start and 38% more than on the opening day of the 2022 election.

The Election Authority said Nordstan in Gothenburg handled the most ballots on Wednesday, with 1,285. The national total comes from digital voter registers and may rise because votes recorded offline can enter the system later.
Early voting continues until election day on 13 September. Voters can use any early-voting location in Sweden, and every municipality will keep at least one such location open on election day.
The authority publishes updated daily data at 06:00 and 14:00. Those figures remain provisional until 16 September.
