People with an active case at Kronofogden should expect some services to take longer this summer, the Swedish Enforcement Authority said on 20 July.
Telephone customer service remains open from 09:00 to 15:00 on weekdays, but lower staffing may mean longer queues. The authority aims to answer email within four working days, though replies can also take longer.
Payment-order cases face delays because case numbers are higher while fewer staff are working. Service of documents and enforcement handling are also taking longer than normal. People applying for service can help by including details such as door codes, the recipient's phone number and email address, or an employer's contact information.
Most incoming and outgoing payments are recorded automatically within one or two weekdays. Manually handled payments normally take three or four weekdays, with the oldest payments prioritised.
Debt-restructuring cases have longer waits during weeks 28 to 32. Kronofogden asks parties to keep sending creditor claims and proof-of-service receipts at the normal pace. Many routine tasks remain available through its online services.
