Websites are still openly selling illegal erectile drugs to people in Sweden, despite warnings to the medicines regulator about active sellers, an SVT investigation found.

SVT reported that one seller accepts Swish and bitcoin payments and distributes QR-code stickers linking to its shop. The site remained online after SVT alerted Läkemedelsverket. The regulator said several active sites target Swedish consumers.
Medicines bought from illegal sellers can contain the wrong substance or dose, Läkemedelsverket told SVT. The risks can include heart attacks and serious allergic reactions. Prescription medicines sold legally online in Sweden must come from an authorised pharmacy.
In a February report, the regulator proposed powers including hidden test purchases and restrictions on access to illegal sales domains. The government said work on the proposals is continuing, but gave SVT no timetable for a decision.
