Apartment prices in Greater Stockholm fell 7.1% in July, according to SBAB Booli's latest housing index. For people buying or selling a flat, that was the sharpest regional move in the report.

Across Sweden, apartment prices fell 4.6% and house prices 1.4%. The national housing total was flat after adjustment for normal seasonal and temporary effects, while the apartment trend was down 0.7%.

SBAB chief economist Robert Boije said July usually brings a drop and warned it was too early to sound alarms because prices often rebound in August. The index tables place apartment prices nearly 10% below their spring 2022 peak. Malmö moved the other way in July, with apartment prices up 2.4%.
