Centre youth leader presses Andersson over Left Party cabinet seats

The Centre Party’s youth leader is pressing Magdalena Andersson to say whether the Social Democrats want the Left Party in government, as Sweden approaches another prime-minister vote.
Emelie Rossheim, who heads the Centre youth federation CUF, told Dagens Nyheter that S should clarify its position and then assemble a minority-government alternative around a shared programme.
Her demand comes while Centre leader Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist continues talks across both political blocs, the newspaper reports. C’s opposition to accepting either the Left Party or the Sweden Democrats in government remains unchanged.
The Left wants parties backing Andersson to negotiate a four-party government. Rossheim also rejected Ulf Kristersson as a prime-ministerial option because of his cooperation with the Sweden Democrats.
Parliament is due to vote on Thand Ringqvist on 3 November. The competing positions still leave both possible governing routes facing Centre objections.
