The Centre Party is aiming for Friday’s four-party meeting to identify problems that need reform, with negotiations over solutions and a government still to come. Even agreement on that first step remains uncertain.

TV4 reports, citing Centre sources, that a joint statement on reform priorities would count as a success at the Lidingö meeting with the Social Democrats, Left Party and Greens. Later stages, discussing solutions and negotiating policy, have not yet been discussed internally.

The parties also differ over Friday’s agenda. Left Party leader Nooshi Dadgostar has said she will raise the government question, while Centre figures say they do not intend to enter that discussion.

Anders Edwall, who chairs Centre’s Skåne district, says the leadership has a negotiating mandate but must report back to the party board before any final decision on a government or policy.
