Three suspects listed in reopened Borlänge election inquiry

Three people are listed as suspects in the reopened investigation into alleged interference with voting in Borlänge. None has been formally notified of suspicion, according to the prosecutor.

Documents obtained by SVT show that the inquiry initially concerned two people. A third was added when it reopened on Monday, 21 September.

The investigation concerns suspected improper influence during voting. It began after an anonymous report in Dalarna, and surveillance material was presented to prosecutors on 1 September.

Prosecutors closed the inquiry on 8 September because of difficulties with the evidence. New circumstances later led them to reopen it.

Prosecutor Oskar Edvardsson told SVT that the details remain confidential. He confirmed that no one has been formally notified of suspicion but would not comment on the number of people listed.

The documents establish the scope of an ongoing investigation; they do not establish that an offence was committed.
