The warning covers Fjällgårdsvägen, Hummelvägen, Kurortsvägen, Källvägen, Solbringsvägen, Stjärnbacken, Tottbacken, Tottens By, Tottgränd, Totthyllan, Tottvägen, Trondheimsleden and Villa Fjällängen.
Åre Municipality's status page says water used for drinking or rinsing vegetables should be boiled. Water used in cooking does not need to be pre-boiled if the cooking itself brings it to the boil. Store boiled water in clean containers in the fridge.
The warning remains in force until laboratory results show the water is safe. People with second homes, protected details or unregistered numbers can add themselves to the municipality's SMS alert service, while landlords are asked to inform tenants.
