Sweden raises dangerous-goods exam fees from December

Drivers who need Sweden’s dangerous-goods qualification will pay more for the mandatory exam from December, and the day they book will affect the price.

The change applies when drivers book and sit ADR examinations, the tests tied to transporting dangerous goods by road. Sweden’s civil defence authority said in an authority notice that a sharp shift in its costs prompted the revision.

The new rates take effect on 1 December 2026 and will remain in force until further notice. Weekday exams will cost SEK 575 and exams on public holidays SEK 650.

Both prices are SEK 150 higher than today. The authority says fees may be adjusted up or down later as its costs change.
